No one is perfect on earth except one.( not LKY) .... LKY might have done some wrongs in his life, but you have to see the good he had done for Singapore... So many Singaporeans and foreigners pay their respect to him... if he is described as a monster dictator, I don't see the immense respect for the man can ever happen in democratic Singapore.

In every democratic country, the people have the right to discuss a political leader's legacy, dead or alive. This is not disrespect, but an essential part of the democratic process.

However, because old fart was a dictator who crushed dissent and bankrupted dissidents, it's only after his death that people are more willing to discuss objectively both the good and the bad that he'd done for Singapore.

That's why I say that the future's brighter for Singapore now that old fart's kicked the bucket.
