The PAP grassroots people are planning to being in senior citizens to the various neighbourhood locations to mourn LKY. Buses to ferry them, freebies etc.

Those old folks are not necessarily PAP supporters, but your ordinary old folks who don't mind spending some time in exchange for free stuff.

I have been very busy today. Many residents had contacted my grassroots buddies and myself. They all want to go pay their last respects to Ah Gong. That's how popular PAP is. And history has judged Mr. LKY as a hero, above Lim Bo Seng and Lt. Adnan.

I'm fully aware of that. But the PM in Russia is still head of government, though with more more limited powers. So, the protocol is still for the PM of Russia to officially send condolences to the PM of Singapore.

In the US, however, the head of state is also the head of government.

If the grief was genuine and widespread, tens of thousands would have gone to the Istana by themselves.

In the Russia system, its quite useless to be PM. You either be President or be nobody.

Protocol is that the PM does almost noting.

Besides, all other world leaders have expressed condolence to Lee HL or just say to LKY. Why this one target Tony Tan?

In my office today, no one cares about LKY's death and no one talks about him at all, it's just another ordinary workday as per usual. The only people harping about him are the 154th media.

I think PAP will be shocked to know that most sinkies are actually cold and uncaring towards LKY and PAP.
