To those who think the laws only affect Muslims then you better think again. What happens if your wife or daughter is raped by a Muslim and you do not have four witnesses? Will the rapist be taken to civil court or Shariah. Will our family member be given 80 lashes? And will the rapist walk away free because of lack of witnesses?
In true Shariah then blood money can be paid to a victim's family for murder after which the murderer may walk free. This helps the rich and powerful as they can easily force the victim's family to accept the blood money. Again this type of uneducated barbarian laws are made by the rich and powerful to control the masses while allowing themselves absolute freedom to commit even murder. The masses are amputated, murdered and even falsely accused to exact revenge or to settle rivalry.
Hudud affects everyone muslims and non-muslims and allows the rich and powerful absolute control even over cases of murder. Notice the lack of laws against white collar crimes or corruption as a sign that these laws are meant for the rich and powerful to control the masses.
Adultery is not only for having sex but being in close proximity as no sexual intercourse needs to be proven. Adultery is also defined as a non-married person having sex with someone who is married. The rich are allowed up to four wives and even concubines made up of sex slaves. How wonderful such laws are for the rich and powerful who love living a savage and barbaric livestyle.

I haven't come across any Islamic majority country that treats its non-Muslim citizens fairly. Under an Islamic system, the word of a Muslim witness will always outweigh that of a non-Muslim. Hence, it is easy for a disgruntled Muslim relative in a non-Muslim family to claim that the dead patriach died a Muslim, and that all the inheritance should go only to the Muslim, while the rest of the non-Muslim kin are excluded automatically. This has happened a few times in Malaysia. There also have been many cases of Muslim officials snatching corpses during funerals or brides during temple marriages due to religious matters pertaining Muslims.
The gist is: Islamic laws are not fair both towards Muslims and very much more so towards non-Muslims. Islamic hand chopping is only meant for petty thieves, while the rich sultans and their corrupted cronies who implement the hudud laws walk free.
Many Malaysians I know want to live and work in Singapore for the best years of their lives because they know what it is like to live in uncertainty as a non-bumi non-Muslim under Islamic rule.

It's not about antique laws or riding of horses like ancient times. It's more of using laws to discriminate against others to boost one's ego and to demonstrate their superiority. Muslims dislike being poor too. But they will pin the blame squarely on the Jews, on Israel and on the Christians. You will understand this better when you talk to various groups of Muslims.

If they could, the Muslims wouldn't be needing blasphemy laws. Neither would they be threatening to run amok whenever you point out flaws in their religion.
Hundreds of years ago the Arabs brought their fanatical jihad to India and then to South East Asia. Lands and people were conquered and slaves were bought and sold from our very own soils here. These religious fanatics who were once victims are now being swayed to push their religious agenda which when looked at is a ridiculous application of wide-ranging laws that allow the rich and powerful to control and to put fear into the masses.
