DIVA is a persistent LIAR. Make up his own strawman verses! LOL!

NIV says

16 The Lord said to Moses, 17 “Say to Aaron: ‘For the generations to come none of your descendants who has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God. 18 No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; 19 no man with a crippled foot or hand, 20 or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles. 21 No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect is to come near to present the food offerings to the Lord. He has a defect; he must not come near to offer the food of his God. 22 He may eat the most holy food of his God, as well as the holy food; 23 yet because of his defect, he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary. I am the Lord, who makes them holy.’”

DIVA has penile issues so keep harping on penile matters. DIVA lives by the penile code? LOL!!!!

Father Frodo can you please explain...."He may eat the most holy food of his God, as well as the holy food; 23 yet because of his defect, he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary."

You can dispense with the Lau Peh formality...:p LOL!

God sets the rules for how He is to be approached. But see the big picture of things...in the past God was approached via presenting oneself in the Temple to offer sacrifices...but Christ changed all that....now those who worship God do so in spirit and in truth. The New has come, the Old has passed.

Very clearly verse 21 said: No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect is to come near to present the food offerings to the Lord. He has a defect; he must not come near to offer the food of his God. 22 He may eat the most holy food of his God, as well as the holy food;

A defective man or sinner may eat of the food offered to his God. But he must not go near the holy place as this is considered desecration and unholy unto the Lord.

This was applicable to the Israelites at that time. Christians do not offer food anymore as Christ has done the sacrifice for us.

It is a rule that God set for those who would approach Him. God demands perfection, both physical and spiritual. Thats all i want to say, if you need more, check the online commentaries available online.

Who said he was abandoned? Read properly. And please also know what a true contradiction means.

if hes not abandoning then why must not go near the curtain or approach the altar or desecrate his sanctuary??? No equality???

Prof drifter Please fall in... and advise Father Frodo

What he can't do is to approach the temple, but he can eat of the holy food. The Bible did not say God abandon him, you are the one giving the twisted commentary.

DIVA already cannot fend for himself, his penile woes are already drowning him. Cut (pun intended) the poor man some space! LOL!

LOL! You read but did not read. The Bible already gave the reason, physical defect so cannot approach the temple. Same as lamb with blemish cannot be used as sacrifice. You are really missing the point, you know that?

BTW, only Adam and Eve were directly created by God, the rest of us are all their offspring and not direct creation. Again please make proper distinction. When we say we are created by God it also means ultimate credit is given to God, versus the silly idea that no one made us or that we evolved from some kind of primal soupbase. LOL!

Brother Methink...." there is no mention of sinners but a man with defects...." so your explanation is partially wrong...

You are right sinners and those of evil minds are mine. In those times, only the priests can enter the temple holy place. And only the chief priest can enter the inner holiest of holy place where the Ark of Covenant is placed.

People with physical defects MUST not enter. We are all sinners. As such to enter in the presence of the Holy God is asking for death.

Contradicts!

1. "We are all sinners". Contradicted the belief that their Jesus Cries died on the cross to redeem all the sins(include future ones, future of future ones....). Contradiction.! This belief they like to on and off!

2. "Only priests can enter the temple"..." only the chief priest can enter the inner holiest of holy place" But "We are all sinners" Contradiction to his earlier words 'sinner may not go near holy place' and 'We are all sinners' Priests not sinners? Contradiction added contradiction! What you get?

3. The emphasis is all on physical defects(Intelligent Design output?). That means, Slave masters, robbers, killers and rapists with no physical defects(not lame or blind or not crippled foot or not crippled balls or not lost penis or not long lanjiao) can go near the holy place. Contradiction! Nevermind, the bible was inspired by primitive men.
