A man who stunned a facial therapist with a Taser after a row about the price of a massage was jailed for three weeks on Thursday.

Lift technician Muhammad Nazri Reduan, 28, had admitted repeatedly using the electro-shock weapon on 37-year-old Ms Yang Fang at Klessmann massage parlour at Fortune Centre, Middle Road, on June 28 last year.

The court heard that Nazri, a Singapore permanent resident, had been walking around when she offered him a massage for $30, which he agreed to, reported The Straits Times.

After the services were rendered, Ms Yang told him that the price was actually $150. He told her that he had no more than $100, and gave her the money. He then asked her to accompany him to an ATM to withdraw the rest.

While Ms Yang was walking towards the main door of the massage parlour, Nazri pulled her back and accused her of cheating him. She replied in Mandarin but he could not understand what she was saying.

He then took out the Taser and used it to stun her on her back.

She fell and screamed. He put his hand over her mouth then stunned her on her neck, telling her to keep quiet.

After stunning her repeatedly she appeared weak, and stopped struggling.

She started to cry and told him that she did not want his money. He took back his $100 and left, without realising he had left his iPad behind.

When he tried to get it back, Ms Yang refused to let him into the premises. He used another iPad to remotely erase the data on the other and destroyed the Taser which he had bought in Malaysia and imported to Singapore without a valid permit.

The victim suffered multiple abrasions and swelling on various parts of her body.

Nazri was eventually traced by police.

His lawyer Peter Fernando had said that Nazri, who was doing three jobs to support the family, apologised to the victim for the hurt he caused her.

Nazri could have been jailed for up to two years and/or fined up to $5,000.
