An eight-wheeler mobile crane was involved in a collision with several other cars along Woodlands Road yesterday evening (Mar 3) at around 5.45pm.

Stomper Michelle says the accident resulted in a road closure that lasted several hours.

She described the scene:

"The driver of an eight-wheeler mobile crane lost control of his vehicle on a downslope turn exiting the BKE to Woodlands Road.

"The crane crashed through the road barrier and into the stationary traffic that had come in from Kranji Expressway (KJE).

"It collided head on with a black Skoda, a Comfort Delgro taxi, a lorry and a tipper truck. The incident allegedly affected eight to ten other vehicles in one way or another - a broken tree fell onto a van behind the Skoda and the rest of the vehicles were part of a pile-up.

"One of the officers at the scene told the victims that they were lucky to be alive.

"A video of the accident's aftermath has also been circulating on Facebook, which Stomper Alvin came across.

The video caption said, "Accident happened on the KJE, Woodlands Road. A yellow truck went smashing [into] cars like nobody's business.""

http://www.ielts-useful-tips.com/lose.html

LOSE(v.)It is a verb form and should be used as a verb in a sentence. Lost is its past tense and past participle.example:I lost my wallet."Lose some of your weight", mom told her son.

LOSS(n)This is a noun form and can be used as a subject, object, or a complement.example.Loss of profit worries him no end.During recession, businessmen incur substantial loss.He was a great loss in the company.
