A woman in Miri was roused from sleep by a molester taking off her clothes but she did not protest, thinking that it was her husband, reported China Press.

During the incident on Sunday night, the suspect had sneaked into the bedroom where the 31-year-old housewife was fast asleep.

The woman's husband was out for a drink with a friend.

When the 34-year-old suspect started fondling her and taking off her clothes, the woman, believed to be drowsy, did not object, thinking that it was her husband.

Upon coming home, the husband was shocked to see another man lying on top of his naked wife.

After beating him up, the husband tied up the molester and handed him over to the police. The woman was later brought to the Miri Hospital for a medical check up.

However, when a story of the incident was uploaded on the Internet, some netizens cast doubt on the woman's claim, saying it was hard to believe.

The same daily also reported that a 40-year-old divorcee had put up a notice seeking marriage at a bus stop in Singapore.

The notice stated that the divorcee was a "simple country woman" who had just touched down in Singapore.

It also said that she had a son in her husband's custody.

When Singaporean daily Lianhe Wanbao called the number in the notice, the woman, who could only converse in Chinese, declined to be interviewed.

The notice, which was also uploaded to the Internet, had been read by over 1,000 netizens.
