and some sinkies call this the best, just because the prawns are large and unshelled, and noodles served with dried leaf for looks and not necessarily for flavors. just look at the noodles. they are more like steamed than fried.
geylang lorong 29 fried hokkien mee. yucks! noodles crawling all over like tentacles of squid are doing.
swee guan hokkien mee at lorong 29. just because the prawns are huge doesn't make this the best.
nam sing in hougang. it's dryer, better fried, but the use of vermicelli is a disappointment.
sheng seng fried prawn noodle at cambridge road. interesting use of tua bee hoon and suay bee hoon. although ingredients are a lot, it's only $2.50. i care less about the ingredients, but the noodles are fried well with the right amount of gravy.
this plate from fried hokkien prawn mee at upper bukit timah road is drowning in gravy.
what kind of shit is this from xie kee at upper bukit timah road? long lines, but customers must be crazy sinkies or clueless ft's.
yang zhou at beo crescent. not bad, but i wish the elder chef caramelized the noodles more.
original serangoon fried hokkien mee. not so original anymore. under-fried. over-gravied.
this one is shiok! open the leaf packet, and the caramelized aroma, vapor and steam from the meal mixed with smell of leaf can give me orgasms.
