AirAsia jet climbed fast then stalled

An AirAsia plane that crashed into the Java Sea last month with 162 people on board climbed faster than normal and then stalled, the Indonesian transport minister said Tuesday.

Flight QZ8501 went down on December 28 in stormy weather, during what was supposed to be a short trip from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore.

Indonesia's meteorological agency has said bad weather may have caused the crash, and investigators are analysing the data from the jet's black boxes before releasing a preliminary report.

Just moments before the plane disappeared off the radar, the pilot had asked to climb to avoid the storm. He was not immediately granted permission due to heavy air traffic.

"In the final minutes, the plane climbed at a speed which was beyond normal," Transport Minister Ignasius Jonan told reporters, citing radar data.

"The plane suddenly went up at a speed above the normal limit that it was able to climb to. Then it stalled."

pilot made and illegal climb when he was being denied.

the plane has no authorization to fly on that day.

the flight was brought forward by a few hours.

no weather report was provided.

what does it boils down to?

Was there a VIP on that plane?

A m&d handling an Ang Mo made plane and mis-handled it , is the same as giving this m&d a Ang Mo made car and he crashed it.

If a m&d is fucked up, it does not matter if the product he is handling is made of Ang Mo quality.

there's no conspiracy. it's merely the wrong place and wrong time. the under wing turbulence would hv been great.

giving extra impulsion to lift the plane higher. instead of encountering resistance (opp forces) he got what he did not want and was not mentally prepare to reduced speed thinking he will stall engine, upon further uplift, the wings would hv gave way and the plane literally become a vestibule to hell.

Jet flies faster than cloud formation if Angmo pilots were in command they would have found some weather holes to fly to. Also airspace controls could have navigate them away from the storm.

Instead they messed up and can only scream Allahu Akbar.

Commercial jets are not likely to have vertical speeds that are faster than Cumulonimbus buildups and updrafts. His reported climb rate of 6000 feet per minute cannot outclimb most of these storm clouds during their mature stage.

Flying through gaps in Cumulonimbus clouds is a very risky and foolish maneouvre because again the clouds can close in on you since they are so dynamic and the gap that you saw initially would just disappear and be replaced by a cloud with highly active weather. This is known as a 'sucker's gap '

You forgot airfrance 447 flown by ang mor pilot which crashed in almost similar circumstances. Maybe airbus planes has a design flaw when flying through storm clouds. This AirAsia 8501 crash should not happen as it was during the day.but there were more incidents where airbus planes dropped steeply during turbulences.
