Oh come on. Criminal law is amongst the least lucrative of all the areas of law. Why would someone do that if he could earn more elsewhere, like for example suing people on behalf of rich clients. Law deals with the more seamy side of life anyway. I would put criminal lawyers in Sg as the most idealistic of a hardened bunch.

Recently there was a documentary on tv about an old korean lady who survived past 90 years old. She was a heavy smoker, smoking more than 1 pack a day. However, she was still mobile when she was in her 90s. She was a farmer before retiring. Maybe how damaging smoking is depends also on our life style i.e. The amount physical activities we engaged in daily.
Still at least 2 pkts a day. No plans to reduce.
Most of the time it doesnt. But, many fools will get hire a criminal lawyer thinking the latter can perform miracles in court. They are actually better off without one, in many cases. How many get their charges dismissed?
