BSF jawan's widow 'raped' in Delhi
NEW DELHI: A BSF jawan's widow was allegedly raped by a veterinary doctor who lived as a tenant in her house in Mehrauli area of south Delhi.
A case has been registered against the accused and police are conducting interrogation.
The incident came to light yesterday when the victim filed a police complaint against the doctor, who lived as a tenant on the ground floor of her house.
"The victim in her complaint said that she was alone at her home yesterday when the accused forcibly entered her room and allegedly raped her.
"He also threatened the victim of dire consequences if she reported the matter to police," said the police officer investigating the case.
The accused had rented the ground floor of the house around a year ago. At the time of the agreement, both the parties agreed to a bond of 11 months. When asked to vacate the house on his completing the 11 month period, the accused denied to do so, the officer said.
The victim's husband was BSF jawan who died few years ago while on duty.
On account of her husband's death, the government had given her compensation, investing which she bought a house in Mehrauli.

The increase in the number of sexual offences conducted by Indian nationals have caused concerns among netizens.
A forum thread on the fuckwarezone.com compiled a list of more than 10 offences which were charged last year.
In the latest on December 19 last year, Indian national Kuldip Singh, 27, followed a woman into a toilet and used his mobile phone to film her while he sat in the next cubicle. She later found out and was apprehended. He was given three weeks' jail.
Just the day before, Sathaiya Ilayaraja, 26, was given nine months in jail after he entered a lift with a beautician and squeezed her breasts.
There were also several other cases of molest over the past one year.
Bose Durairaj, 27, was given three years in jail and two strokes of the cane on December 11 after he molested two of his victims. One was where two girls had stood up on a staircase to give way to Durairaj but he instead hugged one of the girls and rubbed his groin on her. She punched him and he ran away. But he had also earlier pulled a woman to a rubbish chute and even tried to remove her pants before a resident saw what he was doing and shouted at him.
Another Indian national, Kandasamy Krishnan, 27, tried to kiss a woman in the lift at Serangoon station and was given four weeks jail on October 14.
Nagarajan Karthick, 26, was jailed two months on September 4 last year after he followed a woman into a lift, pushed against her and tried to lift her skirt.
On May 5, Balasubramaniyan Gowri Balan, 34, wanted to appeal against his nine months jail sentence after he followed molested a woman on a train and followed her out of the train to her office. He lost his appeal.
Vadla Kandappachari, 38, was carrying out upgrading work at a unit when he saw a woman. As he was about to leave, he grabbed her arms from behind and tried to grab at her breast. She bit him. He was jailed nine months on April 12.
On April 9 last year, a 34-year-old male Indian national just walked up to a woman and molested her and was arrested.
Palanisami Mohankumar, 27, was even more creative and reached through a common corridor window to touch an 11-year-old girl. He was jailed for six months on April 6 for outraging her modesty and theft.
Jayaraman Kannan, 34, had rubbed his crotch against a 19-year-old girl and exposed his penis to her on the train. She slapped him and reported him to SMRT staff. He was jailed four months on February 18.
While four women were shopping at a supermarket, Ramachandran Balamurugan went on a molesting spree on November 17, 2013 and was sentence to jail for seven months on January 5.

The Sinor police in Vadodara has launched a massive manhunt to track down seven persons accused of gangraping a labourer in her late 20s. The crime was committed on the intervening night of Sunday. The woman has been admitted to Vadodara’s SSG hospital as is in critical condition.
According to the police, the seven accused allegedly dragged the woman out of a makeshift hut, where she was sleeping with her family, took her to the fields and took turns to rape her.
