SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan Keng Yam will be overseas on a private visit from Dec 26 to Dec 30, said the President's Office in a press release Friday.

Mr J Y Pillay, Chairman, Council of Presidential Advisers, will exercise the functions of the Office of the President on Dec 26 and Madam Halimah Yacob, Speaker of Parliament, will exercise the functions of the Office of the President for the period from Dec 27 to Dec 30.

Tony Tan is the most suitable Tan to be our President. He has loads of experience in the field of banking and finance. He too was also a very capable cabinet minister when he was in the PAP. With him around, our reserves would be safe from the harebrained schemes of the WP and SDP.
