The circus clowns pronounce the area is now rat-free because there are NO complaints?
Until there are sightings of dead rats, the problem has NOT gone away - unless the migration of
these rats (like Desmond to Tampines) to other surrounding areas is counted as getting rid of
the rats.

Sorry lah, SBF brothers, I could not resist digging out this old thread about the rat infestation problems last year, near the Bukit Batok MRT Station

SDP 'returning home' to Bukit Batok SMC

The SDP will be visiting Bukit Batok tomorrow (26 July 2015) morning
starting at 9am at the Bt Batok Central area.
The constituency will be a single-seat at the next GE.
We contested in the constituency in the 1990s until it was roped in to a GRC.
We are glad to have the opportunity to return home and we're excited about the contest.

PAP MP David Ong will face challenge from from the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) for his Bukit Batok seat in the upcoming GE.

Due to lapses during the 4 odd years of David Ong's tenure, rats infestation has worsen to a point where hundreds of rodent ran amok on the hill opposition Bukit Batok MRT station. Externalpest control company has to be engaged to wipe out the rodents with taxpayers footing over $100,000 for the operation.

David Ong then tried to push the blame to his residents on the rodent outbreak citing them feeding the stray dogs there.
