how to rid such freebies they been feeding since inception of PA..like giving a kid candy every other day and suddenly tell the kid no more...they will brawl, throw tantrum, file complaints, picket, get into fit...hope the kid with withdrawal symptoms from candy can behave more maturely...

The roundtrip flight to Taipei is 9 hours. I think if they hole up in Singapore somewhere to do their retreat, they can already accomplish most of their retreat goals in 9 hours. But of course with free or heavily subsidized trip thrown in, its easy to see why they want to go.

Why the need to go to Taiwan for an expensive retreat? You wonder what's the reaction of the notoriously scrooge Goh Keng Swee if this happened when he was alive...
That money should be used to help the less well off families in his constituency.. I don't buy the stupid reasons that this fucktard and his por lumpars deserved a well deserved holiday after working hard for their residents..
They are there to serve the people and not to enjoy good holidays in the name of serving the people..
