Remember WP contested there, with Yaw Shin Loong , was it Syvia Lim &.....they did not loose their deposits...

Good that SF is going there. It's much more credible than RP, which got 30% of the votes in GE2011. Also, SF is the most left-leaning party after the SDP.

The problem is RP still doing walk about in AMK. I saw JBJ's son with RP people shaking hands with diners @ the hawker centre near Courts just a few month ago.
Agree. It may be quite hard for SF to find a "suicide team" from its support base of high profile senior citizens but if it does, it will do better than RP.
RP might just give up in the end. After fielding West Coast, there may be no more than 5 people left.

Everyone knows the opposition's chances of winning is always the lowest at the biggest ministers' wards. That is the same everywhere in this world. "Suicide team" is an easy-to-understand description of this mission, not meant to demean those who has taken the courage to stand forward.
While WP and SDP probably have enough impressionable youths to apply Sun's strategy of "pitting weakest against strongest", SF, for now at least, are made of high profile successful retirees who want one good go at the PAP. This may however change closer to the election.

Competing to see who is able to more anti-PAP is not the way to go.
The key to winning elections lies in the swing voters and the middle ground. The electorate is not like us. They do not vote you just because you are a chest-beating anti-PAP who fucks the PAP daily.
The lesser parties like SDA, RP, SF can forget it. In fact, the SDP can also forget it. Let the main parties take the stage. Lesser parties contesting will only give PAP a victory in the ward.
WP is not going to put up a candidate/team in every constituency.
So as long as an opposition candidate/team is in a one-on-one contest against the PAP, vote for the opposition party.
