The problem is that there are too many PAPees & they are grossly overpaid. Which country pays their civil servants million dollar salaries
Spore tax payers can't afford so many parasites. Any future gov'ts that take over from the PAP will have to make cut backs & I expect them to be busy hunting down all the $$$ that is out there.
on top of that, ministers who served 10 years of service are given pensions for life. And there are many of these retired ministers

I see dangers ahead for SG and bad times for Singaporeans. those who take million dollar loans to finance their property purchase risk bankruptcy when recession hits.

Dear Tracy, you are wrong especially with regards to casino creating jobs for sinkaporeans. Most, indeed a great majority of jobs in casinos are for foreigners. Mainly pinoys and pinays.

Lance Armstrong was once the toast of the cycling world but has fallen from grace because his addiction was found out. When will the pap fall from grace? I foresee pap's fall is imminent because the pap's addiction will likewise be found out

Shopping mall is already dead (except the few key ones). Same freaking brands. Most people now buy cheap or expensive from online. Only reason to go mall is enjoy Aircon and eat in restaurants. That's why now the new malls devote high percentage of space to food (which actually attracts lowest rents, use mainly to get traffic). It's doomed.

Good summary of the sad mall situation in SG. Indeed bedok Point is struggling because of Bedok Mall. In time to come, Parkway Parade will also struggling because of I12 and the coming underground Mall at Marine Parade. There are too many Malls selling the same products and service

Amazing! there are at least 94 Malls/Shopping Centres in Singapore. It is a matter of time before some of these Malls go bankrupt
