Actually what netizens or detractors feel is not what he is concern about since these groups will likely vote opposition no matter what pap said. His targeted audiences are basically the fence sitters especially those who don't surf net but depend on MSM for their daily news. Hence whatever truth that was uncovered on internet, no matter how absurd his arguments appears to us will sound like gospel truth to those voters who depends solely on newspaper as only form of news source.
Having said this, people like this though still sizable are shrinking. Whether PAP strategy really works is a big question mark. It didn't work during hgbe and PEBE. Voters demographic structure has change and so has the mindset. Those who were previously centrist has now steer left towards opposition. people who supported PAP in the past are now adopt a fence sitting position. In fact I even met former PAP supporters who are Now opposition supporters. PAP has yet to come to terms with this reality as far as their election strategy is concern.
