America created ISIS. And all Middle-Eastern terrorism has its roots in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the state terrorism perpetration by Israel under American financial and military support.

America Created Al-Qaeda and the ISIS Terror Group

By Garikai Chengu
Global Research, September 19, 2014

Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region.

The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history.

The CIA first aligned itself with extremist Islam during the Cold War era. Back then, America saw the world in rather simple terms: on one side, the Soviet Union and Third World nationalism, which America regarded as a Soviet tool; on the other side, Western nations and militant political Islam, which America considered an ally in the struggle against the Soviet Union.
The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan, General William Odom recently remarked, “by any measure the U.S. has long used terrorism. In 1978-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, the lawyers said the U.S. would be in violation.”

During the 1970′s the CIA used the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt as a barrier, both to thwart Soviet expansion and prevent the spread of Marxist ideology among the Arab masses. The United States also openly supported Sarekat Islam against Sukarno in Indonesia, and supported the Jamaat-e-Islami terror group against Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Pakistan. Last but certainly not least, there is Al Qaeda.

Lest we forget, the CIA gave birth to Osama Bin Laden and breastfed his organization during the 1980′s. Former British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, told the House of Commons that Al Qaeda was unquestionably a product of Western intelligence agencies. Mr. Cook explained that Al Qaeda, which literally means an abbreviation of “the database” in Arabic, was originally the computer database of the thousands of Islamist extremists, who were trained by the CIA and funded by the Saudis, in order to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan.

America’s relationship with Al Qaeda has always been a love-hate affair. Depending on whether a particular Al Qaeda terrorist group in a given region furthers American interests or not, the U.S. State Department either funds or aggressively targets that terrorist group. Even as American foreign policy makers claim to oppose Muslim extremism, they knowingly foment it as a weapon of foreign policy.

The Islamic State is its latest weapon that, much like Al Qaeda, is certainly backfiring. ISIS recently rose to international prominence after its thugs began beheading American journalists. Now the terrorist group controls an area the size of the United Kingdom.

In order to understand why the Islamic State has grown and flourished so quickly, one has to take a look at the organization’s American-backed roots. The 2003 American invasion and occupation of Iraq created the pre-conditions for radical Sunni groups, like ISIS, to take root. America, rather unwisely, destroyed Saddam Hussein’s secular state machinery and replaced it with a predominantly Shiite administration. The U.S. occupation caused vast unemployment in Sunni areas, by rejecting socialism and closing down factories in the naive hope that the magical hand of the free market would create jobs. Under the new U.S.-backed Shiite regime, working class Sunni’s lost hundreds of thousands of jobs. Unlike the white Afrikaners in South Africa, who were allowed to keep their wealth after regime change, upper class Sunni’s were systematically dispossessed of their assets and lost their political influence. Rather than promoting religious integration and unity, American policy in Iraq exacerbated sectarian divisions and created a fertile breading ground for Sunni discontent, from which Al Qaeda in Iraq took root.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) used to have a different name: Al Qaeda in Iraq. After 2010 the group rebranded and refocused its efforts on Syria.

There are essentially three wars being waged in Syria: one between the government and the rebels, another between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and yet another between America and Russia. It is this third, neo-Cold War battle that made U.S. foreign policy makers decide to take the risk of arming Islamist rebels in Syria, because Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, is a key Russian ally. Rather embarrassingly, many of these Syrian rebels have now turned out to be ISIS thugs, who are openly brandishing American-made M16 Assault rifles.

America’s Middle East policy revolves around oil and Israel. The invasion of Iraq has partially satisfied Washington’s thirst for oil, but ongoing air strikes in Syria and economic sanctions on Iran have everything to do with Israel. The goal is to deprive Israel’s neighboring enemies, Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Palestine’s Hamas, of crucial Syrian and Iranian support.
ISIS is not merely an instrument of terror used by America to topple the Syrian government; it is also used to put pressure on Iran.

The last time Iran invaded another nation was in 1738. Since independence in 1776, the U.S. has been engaged in over 53 military invasions and expeditions. Despite what the Western media’s war cries would have you believe, Iran is clearly not the threat to regional security, Washington is. An Intelligence Report published in 2012, endorsed by all sixteen U.S. intelligence agencies, confirms that Iran ended its nuclear weapons program in 2003. Truth is, any Iranian nuclear ambition, real or imagined, is as a result of American hostility towards Iran, and not the other way around.

America is using ISIS in three ways: to attack its enemies in the Middle East, to serve as a pretext for U.S. military intervention abroad, and at home to foment a manufactured domestic threat, used to justify the unprecedented expansion of invasive domestic surveillance.

By rapidly increasing both government secrecy and surveillance, Mr. Obama’s government is increasing its power to watch its citizens, while diminishing its citizens’ power to watch their government. Terrorism is an excuse to justify mass surveillance, in preparation for mass revolt.

The so-called “War on Terror” should be seen for what it really is: a pretext for maintaining a dangerously oversized U.S. military. The two most powerful groups in the U.S. foreign policy establishment are the Israel lobby, which directs U.S. Middle East policy, and the Military-Industrial-Complex, which profits from the former group’s actions. Since George W. Bush declared the “War on Terror” in October 2001, it has cost the American taxpayer approximately 6.6 trillion dollars and thousands of fallen sons and daughters; but, the wars have also raked in billions of dollars for Washington’s military elite.

In fact, more than seventy American companies and individuals have won up to $27 billion in contracts for work in postwar Iraq and Afghanistan over the last three years, according to a recent study by the Center for Public Integrity. According to the study, nearly 75 per cent of these private companies had employees or board members, who either served in, or had close ties to, the executive branch of the Republican and Democratic administrations, members of Congress, or the highest levels of the military.

In 1997, a U.S. Department of Defense report stated, “the data show a strong correlation between U.S. involvement abroad and an increase in terrorist attacks against the U.S.” Truth is, the only way America can win the “War On Terror” is if it stops giving terrorists the motivation and the resources to attack America. Terrorism is the symptom; American imperialism in the Middle East is the cancer. Put simply, the War on Terror is terrorism; only, it is conducted on a much larger scale by people with jets and missiles.

Bargain Hen explains why Peasantpore must support Uncle Sam and whack ISIS....

Transmodified from Mouthpiece hxxp://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/singapore-to-join/1450248.html

PEASANTPORE: The sham republic will join 33 other Uncle Sam vassals in a multinational coalition to combat the Uncle Sam's latest foe, Islamic State militant group, well paid Defence Minion Bargain Hen said in Imperial Court on Monday (Nov 3).

The Peasantpore Armed Arses (SAF) has previously sent cheap peasants to participate in multinational coalition efforts against religious zealots who pose a terrorist threat to Peasantpore and Familee – as it did in Afghanistan against Al Qaeda and the Taliban – and it will continue to participate in such efforts if Uncle Sam demands it, Bargain Hen said.

In response to a stupid question from well paid Peasants' Representative Alex Yam on how low will SAF bend over coalition, Bargain Hen said SAF’s contribution will be "within a good bargain".

This includes sending liaison and planning peasant paper tigers who are not from wealthy or illustrious families to the Uncle Sam Central Sex and the Combined Fuck Force HQ, a cheap KC-135R tanker aircraft for air-to-air refuelling, and an Imagery Analysis Team – assets that were previously deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan for horny Arabs to watch soft porn on the sly.

"These contributions have proved to be effective at great bargain", he added.

There will be no SAF troops on the ground in Babylon as their presence will raise eyebrows in various South East Asiatic Moslem Caliphates; they will instead operate out of neighbouring countries, Bargain Hen said.

"There will be no risks to our wealthy scions as we only deploy cheap SAF peasants, so you will not see Patrick Tan or his likes assigned to such hotspots.....Mindef gangsters are not stupid, we only send peasants as cannon fodder and assign cushy posts to scions! Peasant servicemen die, we wrap their coffins with state flags but if a Familee member die in such silly missions, then I Bargain Hen balek kampong to fly kite liao lor" Bargain Ng quipped.

PAP sending your sons to be beheaded

Other countries doing airstrikes only. PAP is garang ...wants to send ground troops there. A couple of SAF heads will roll, thanks to ISIS.

Parliament: Singapore will contribute personnel and equipment to multinational coalition against ISIS

Dr Ng was responding to Mr Alex Yam (Chua Chu Kang GRC) who had asked whether the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will consider joining the broad coalition currently combating ISIS in Syria and Iraq, and in what ways will the SAF contribute towards this effort.

Below is the reply by Dr Ng:

Madam, the threat of jihadist terrorism is transnational; it extends across continents and beyond the confines of territorial borders.

Singapore as an international hub is particularly exposed to this threat. Members of the public are well aware of it. In 2001; the Internal Security Department disrupted a terrorist plot by Al-Qaeda (AQ) to mount suicide bombings in Singapore. This was with the help of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist network. This clearly showed that even terrorist groups that are based in countries far away can pose a direct security threat to Singapore here.

In the last decade, Singapore responded to the terrorist threat from AQ and JI by dealing with it squarely, explaining to all Singaporeans what is at stake. We strengthened our social, psychological and physical defences at home and joined other countries to deal with forces in Iraq and Afghanistan which were the sources of the radicalisation and terror. As a result both AQ and JI are weaker today.

However, this terrorism threat is a long term one. And new groups like ISIS (The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) will emerge even as existing ones falter. When they do, we must not lose focus or heart in dealing with the threat from ISIS. We must continue the approach that has served Singapore well and protected us thus far.

Like AQ and JI, ISIS is a terrorist organisation that poses a direct security threat to Singapore, our region and the rest of the world. ISIS was in fact Al-Qaeda in Iraq before it splintered to become an independent organisation.

Deputy Prime Minister Teo has provided extensive details on the threat from ISIS in his replies to members' questions in this house in July and October. I do not intend to repeat his points, but with the speaker's permission, to circulate the relevant portion of his previous replies for your reference.

Approximately 350 Southeast Asians, including from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore are reportedly in Iraq and Syria. 350 Southeast Asians. Many of them have joined ISIS and may return to threaten our security here, as the commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces warned recently.

The threats to our region are indeed real.

Some Malaysians and Indonesians are fighting for ISIS and have formed the militant group from the archipelago, from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. In other words, an archipelagic group here. This group adds to the threat from existing terrorist networks such as JI.

Leaders from organised militant groups in this region such as Abu Bakar Bashir in Indonesia have also pledged allegiance to ISIS and declared their similar intent to establish an Islamic State in Southeast Asia.

In Malaysia, the authorities arrested militants in April this year and these militants were inspired by ISIS and had planned to attack pubs, a disco and a beer brewery in Malaysia.

SINGAPORE - Singapore said Monday it would provide military support to the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State (IS) group but would not take part in combat operations.
Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen told parliament the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) would deploy officers to the US Central Command and the Combined Joint Task Force Headquarters spearheading the campaign in Iraq and Syria.
The SAF will also deploy a Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker for air-to-air refuelling as well as an imagery analysis team.

"There will be no combat troops in Iraq and Syria, instead SAF soldiers will operate from surrounding countries together with other coalition forces," Ng said without providing the number being deployed.
Singapore, which has one of Asia's best-equipped armed forces, has long considered itself a prime target for Islamic militants, particularly those operating in Southeast Asia.
The US military operates a post in the city-state that helps in logistics and exercises for its forces in Southeast Asia.
Ng said that by joining the international coalition, "we are contributing directly to our own security".
He recalled that Al Qaeda-linked militants from the Jemaah Islamiyah network had plotted to bomb the US embassy and other foreign targets in Singapore in 2002. The plot was foiled after police arrested several suspects.
Singapore, a tiny island-nation of 5.5 million, is one of Asia's leading financial and transportation hubs. It is host to thousands of multinational corporations and a large expatriate community.
Ng said local authorities are concerned about the potential formation of a Southeast Asian branch of IS, with jihadists from the region returning home after fighting in Iraq and Syria.
About 350 Southeast Asians, including some from Singapore as well as Malaysia and Indonesia, are currently fighting in the Middle East, he said.
"Many of them have joined ISIS and may return to threaten our security here... the threats to our region are indeed real," Ng said, using another acronym for the Islamic State.
Singapore will join 33 other nations committed to the US-led fight against the group.

ISIS/ISL watch out: SAF is ccoming to get you!!!!

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/singapore-will-join/1450248.html

SINGAPORE: The Republic will join 33 other nations in a multinational coalition to combat the Islamic State militant group, Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen said in Parliament on Monday (Nov 3). Joining in the ongoing international efforts "contributes directly to Singapore's own security", added Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Teo Chee Hean.

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) has previously participated in multinational coalition efforts against religious extremists who pose a terrorist threat to Singapore and Singaporeans – as it did in Afghanistan against Al Qaeda and the Taliban – and it will continue to participate in such efforts, Dr Ng said.

In response to a question from MP Alex Yam on how SAF will contribute to the coalition, Dr Ng said SAF’s contribution will be "within its means" and "sustainable and useful". This includes sending liaison and planning officers to the United States Central Command and the Combined Joint Task Force HQ, a KC-135R tanker aircraft for air-to-air refuelling, and an Imagery Analysis Team – assets that were previously deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

These contributions have proved effective and were appreciated by international partners, he added.

There will be no SAF troops on the ground in Iraq and Syria; they will instead operate out of neighbouring countries, Dr Ng said.

"There will be risks to our SAF servicemen as they carry out their missions. To mitigate these risks, we will ensure that our servicemen are well equipped, and receive additional training in weapon handling, dealing with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), as well as reacting to hostile elements," Dr Ng said.

"SINGAPORE NEEDS TO PLAY ITS PART"

Deputy Prime Minister Teo said in a separate statement on Monday that Singapore is not immune to the Islamic State threat.

“The threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria affects all of us, in all countries," said Mr Teo, adding that Singapore "needs to play its part and support international efforts to contain the threat posed by ISIS" as it "contributes directly to our own security".

Mr Teo also said Singapore has taken actions to strengthen community bonds and to counter extremist ideology to help prevent Singaporeans from becoming radicalised. He said it is "heartening" to see how all communities have worked with or supported one another on this front.

"Our Malay-Muslim community in particular has taken a firm stance against the violent actions of ISIS, and taken proactive steps to counter their extremist ideology, and to help all those who are suffering from violence in the Middle East,” he added.

ISIS POSES A THREAT TO ALL SINGAPOREANS

Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, also reiterated the Malay-Muslim community's stance against ISIS.

"MUIS (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore), Malay/Muslim organisations, community leaders and the Government have worked very hard together for many years to combat radical teachings that abuse the name of Islam," said Dr Yaacob, the Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs.

"I strongly urge all communities to continue to work together so that our people are more informed, understand each other better, and are not easily swayed by inaccurate or provocative foreign or social media reporting. This way, we will emerge stronger as Singaporeans, united in our common goal for peace, understanding and harmony."

"The terrorist activities by ISIS pose a threat to all Singaporeans, regardless of race or religion," he added. "Our decision to be part of the multi-national coalition against ISIS is primarily to protect Singapore and Singaporeans. Although based far away in foreign countries, we know that terrorist groups can pose a direct security threat to us through their efforts to export terrorism to this region. We cannot be complacent."

Dr Yaacob also said that the move against ISIS cannot be "interpreted as an act against Islam".

"I know some of us may think that Islam and Muslims have been put in the spotlight again," said Dr Yaacob. "But this move against ISIS cannot be interpreted as an act against Islam, or Muslims, because ISIS is not Islamic."

"Mufti, Pergas and RRG (The Religious and Rehabilitation Group) have joined international Muslim scholars and leaders in condemning ISIS unequivocally," he added. "They have all declared that ISIS’ radical teachings and actions have nothing to do with Islam. Islam upholds peace, the preservation of human life and its sanctity, and it is thus forbidden in Islam to wage war wantonly on others."
