Not true. Assuming a full tank of petrol bought in local petrol station can last for 5 days under normal usage. It would be the same if the petrol is bought in JB. It could also last for 5 days.

What I meant is that you have to drive all the way into JB and pay the tolls and spend maybe two hrs driving. But as long as you find it worth, that is what matters

it makes good business sense to do the honourable thing...when price of oil goes down, so must the price of petrol. not to reduce price is the wrong thing to do and it will hurt the company in the long run
