Thank you Roy for all that you have done in speaking up on CPF.
Not only can it be a thankless job but it also backfire on you in losing your job, along with your income, losing people who were once your friends and high chance you will lose too in PM’s lawsuit against you.
Some people even doubted your intentions and say you have your personal agenda. There are those who branded you as rash, irresponsible and inexperience.
Well I do not know you to say with certitude who and what you are. But everyone can see the undeniable facts of what you went through publicly and only you & heaven know what you are going through personally.
We can also see that because of your actions have caused this government to make certain inconvenient statements, holding ‘honest’ conversation & modifying some of their sacred cow policies for which we are certain would not be expedited without you and others like HHH.
One commentator in a previous article mentioned it should not be about returning our CPF per se but rather to return us our rights in managing our CPF money. I find that rather spot on as this will be first, constitutionally correct as it is our very own & not state money after all & secondly the concessionary solution to those who argue PAP is doing right on CPF and the many who think & feel not.
Exercising our rights to manage our CPF money is exactly the same principle to exercising our rights to vote.
There are PAP supporters & there are opposition supporters. No supporters or party no matter how impeccable they claimed to be, can deny us the right to vote for whoever we want.
To take away our rights to manage our very own money on the noble notion they know better what is best for us, then PAP should be consistent and do away with our rights and liberty to vote for any other party since they always claim they are the best to govern, they know what is the right news & only they hold the undisputed historical truth of our past.
It is the right of one old man’s view of the world, but that doesn’t mean that each of the millions of Singaporean share the same view nor can we be forced to agree with his view.
