Menu for Tuesday evening's State Banquet.
in reciprocation, the istana menu will offer the following:
paupiette de sambal stingray royale

this is what food of the gods eat.....chiu peasants better stick with ur 3 meals at hawker center!!!
supreme fried chicken head......as appetizer.
mee siam mai hum......for soup.
and chendol with green worms for dessert.
The menu was all French food actually.
it's not french food per se. it's native british main ingredients prepared in the french dining style. the sole is caught locally (dover), and so is the pheasant.
Looks just like the Stingray I had at Smith Street hawker centre in Chinatown.
sinkies are very lucky to have royal food anywhere in sg. unlike the queen who has to wait for a state dinner to enjoy the lowly sole. :p
but its overwhelmingly french,i guess like they say british cooking sucks,all they eat is beans and pie and fish and chips.
