By increasing the VEP for Malaysian goods vehicles, LTA has contributed to the cost of living in Singapore. Already we are the world’s most expensive country but LTA is making the situation worse with its customary money grabs.
If you are aghast at the increased prices at the supermarkets, the culprit is LTA. Even coffee shop food stalls have jumped onto the bandwagon.
Public buses and cabs plying the Causeway route have also upped their fares.
The many Singaporeans who live in JB and commute to Singapore to work or study in our schools have to fork out more money for transport.
To stretch their dollar so that they have more disposal income for their families is the aim of this group of Singaporeans. But even here the PAP government has intervened.
Ultimately it’s the ordinary folks (or rakyat, as Malaysians would term it) who are suffering.
And the PM of the country remains unconcerned? On reflection, this is hardly surprising given his core value of greed.
A government should work in the BEST INTERESTS of its citizens.
But the PAP government works only in the best interests of itself and its party.
Self- serving is the best word to describe the PAP government.
LTA really makes life difficult for Singaporeans.
