SINGAPORE - The bodies of a 61-year-old man and a 40-year-old man were found in an apartment unit of The Bayshore condominium on Wednesday morning.

The duo are believed to be father and son.

According to The Straits Times, the decomposed bodies were found after neighbours complained of a foul smell coming from the unit of the condominium that is near East Coast Park.

A maid living there told Chinese evening daily Shin Min Daily News that the stench had been there for almost a week.

"Even though the windows were closed, the smell remained in the air," she said.

Unable to tolerate the smell any more, neighbours complained to the condominium management, who then called in the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

The SCDF confirmed with The Straits Times that they sent a Red Rhino vehicle and an ambulance after receiving a call for help at a building along Bayshore Road.

A police spokesman said: "On arrival, two men were found motionless."

They were found on a sofa in the living room, according to the report.

"They were pronounced dead by paramedics on scene," said the police spokesman.

The police have classified the deaths as unnatural and are investigating the case.
