If my memory is correct, correct me, if I am wrong, B.P. De Silva had a shop near to the old parliament house, opposite the side of the Supreme Court, on High Street, where POLAR CAFE was, Ensign Book Store & at the other end, TALK OF TH TOWN...

There used to be a couple of De Silva jewellery shops in Spore. Had a classmate who was one of the De silvas who stayed at Coronation Park. I think they have all left Spore because I don't see their store around.
Do you know where they went to:confused:

The Japs slaughtered many Chinese in sinkie land during their Occupation and, until the Americans bombed Japan to force their surrender, the cruelty of the Japs was beyond description.

Certain individuals in the country worked for and collaborated with the Japs to arrest, tortue and kill the Chinese and other civilians on mere suspicion of being anti-Jap. These individuals, if alive today, would know themselves what they had done. The blood of those innocent civilians comprising men, women and children who died in the hands of the Japs would stain their hands too forever.

The problem was that there was no organized resistance in singapore during the war. In france, u have the French Resistance, and other similar groups in other countries. Their role was to spy on the germans, and sabotage them when possible. If singapore had such groups, they should have dragged out all the collaborators like the French did and shoot or hang them in the streets. I find it very strange that there was no war crime trial of singaporean collaborators. There were post war crime trial of Japanese senior officers including I believe the Tiger of Malaysia General Tomoyuki Yamashita. But why non of Singaporeans? u telling me not one single sinkie sold out to the Japs? If history had been different, u would see that jap sympathesizer Lee Con You dragged out on the streets and hanged. Or at the very least go for war crime trials.

Japs on all levels of their representation do not even admit Soo King. They believe that Teo Chee Hean is an ape and that he does not know how his own grandfather died. In spite of this, Teo sucks Japanese mini chinpos.

There should be a war crimes tribunal to look for these people. Probably never happened because Old Fart will be the first arrested.

50,000 is not alot. watch Back to 1942. the famine and war killed 3 million in henan alone.

50,000 is a lot for singapore, u moron. If singapore population was 1 million back than, that's a 5% death rate. If china population was 1 billion back than, 3 million is only a 0.3% death rate.

Working for the occupiers does not make one a traitor. The traitors are those who arrests resistance patriots - informers and police detectives. Many were killed after liberation. Police traitors were dragged out of the old Police Academy and killed outside - where Tan Tong Meng building now stands. Many spirits still lurk in that vicinity ....

Interesting....now you solve the mystery why Tan Tong Meng building is painted red all the while...

Old Fart's father worked at that BP de Silva store.....

Old Fart and Prataman as jap collaborators are responsible for how many of these lives?

Previously, the father worked for the Japanese...

Now the son PM LHL also work for the Japanese Premier Abe when he visited Singapore some months back..

Instead of getting Abe to bow and be sorry for the Sook Chink massacre, PM LHL helps Abe to get rid of toxic foodstuff from Fukushima.
He will import these foodstuff to appease the Japanese premier. It may ruin our health and cost some lives.

Some people suspect that LKY was more than a simple translator:confused:

We will probably never know how involved he was with the Jap because there was never a tribunal. So there will always be speculation that LKY is not an innocent. His decendants will forever be tainted

When I was young, I used to eat at Polar Cafe, where I have my glass of tomato juice, Club sandwich, sometime, chicken pie or their curry puff. At that time....it is used to populated by the people opposite the road...the "law yaw" ( ha ha ha), we used to call them & their clerks etc.. too young to be allowed to go "Talk Of The Town"..

If the Japs had wiped out the Chinese, the world would be a much better place today.
