hdb bto segar meadows.....not bad! sinkies are so lucky!

Living and dining/open kitchen coupled as one living space, 3m by 6m, ceiling height 2.6m. Cook simple meal only there goes your sofa set. Ho kua bo ho jiak. No cooking allowed, FFS, is that still a home?

i'm sure if you ask the average hongkie if that resembles a "home", they will instantly say "wow! what a mansion!"

This one looks like a 90sqm, 4room flat, the 3m by 6m dining cum living concept again. Good thing is the kitchen is isolated together with a small yard. Small rooms thou'.

you call that "small"? no wonder sinkies are spoilt rotten by their caring and loving gov. :p

Looks like those HDB mansionette around Tampines Central, Blk 149 or 151. Or those Blk 168, 169 iirc, those built in the early 80s when Tampines was still a New Town!

i remember and can imagine the amount of renovation work involved in transforming the kitchen to a room and converting the tiny "store" or maid's room at the corner into a kitchen. wow! very thoughtful remodeling! i'm impressed!

90sqm is small when the actual liveable space is less than that. Cut out the yard aka ledge, kitchen, bomb shelter and 2 washrooms. With only 2 adults and 2 kids running around already very squeezy...

whatever! but you cannot deny the fact that when comparing to all major cities in the world (cannot compare sg to cuntries as sg is essentially a city-state), the pap has envisioned and engineered a city habitat and eco-system where sinkies are given various options to live and make their lives better. what is better than improving a plain, humble hdb flat and turn it into a luxurious, livable, and lively abode, where sinkies would rather spend their time watching epl games in air-conditioned comfort with big-screen tv's on clean, luxurious modern furniture, f*ck their wives, mistresses, mei mei's, and maids on designer beds in quiet, sound-proof rooms with attached bath, and surf the internet on fiber broadband with high speed wi-fi routers to complain and whine about how life sucks under the pap?

I find it strange that people spend so much money on their homes. Had a colleague who spent $100,000 on renovating her HDB place. This was before the global recession & before she lost her job.

Don't forget that living in Spore is like living in a hotel. You might be tossed. Same thing with a car, you only rent it for 10 years.
