Two men have been charged with murder in relation to the body which was found at the abandoned Pearl Centre Carpark on Sunday.

The suspects, Sunder Rangasamy, 27, and Thiagu Muniandy, 23 are both Malaysians.

Another two unknown men are also believed to have been involved in the murder but Police are yet to arrest them.

The murder allegedly occurred on Sunday between 12:37am and 1:13am.

According to people familiar with the area, the carpark where the body was found has been closed off to cars but due to its proximity to several bars and nightclubs, the abandoned carpark is a popular spot for people to loiter and drink.

At night, there is no illumination and it is pitch dark.

The dead body was not discovered until Sunday afternoon and while there were pieces of broken glass, suspected to be beer bottles found around the body which was lying on the floor face up, there were no visible fatal wounds on the body.

The case will be heard again on the 16th of September.
