I will miss Scroobal's postings. His knowledge of history and inner workings of our government. His wide ranging knowledge of current issues. And yes, his detailed knowledge of the key personalities involved.
I will miss the kind of political education I got reading his posts. And also the posts of others who have gone before him like Escobar and the old Delphi nicks.
When golden dragon first came here he said he likes scroobal's in-depth knowledge of the night scene. And I agree. I can't find such knowledge elsewhere.

I feel embarrassed… for you, when I read this, especially the last part. Here’s an idea: while at it, why don’t you put on your sexiest lingerie, shortest dress and ask Scroo to marry you? You won’t have to miss him anymore.
Your post, choice of words and timing do him (and you) no favour. Fact is after Sam did the right thing and “lectured” him, he went into a childish rage, threw his toys out of the pram and announced his exit. He probably regretted it 5 minutes later when Sam did not repent and beg him to return. You appeared as a peacemaker quickly (too quickly I would say) after Scroo’s announcement. I know you tried very hard in that thread trying to paint a picture of Sam admitting that he was wrong and then comparing Scroo with Merl or GD to play up support for him. The problem with this comparison is that Merl and GD are generally well liked, not malicious, not obsessed with their online reputation and not starting threads calling others a pimp or point whore.
Seeing no response or support forthcoming, and realizing that his “farewell” post was lost in a long thread, he needs you to start this thread to announce his exit. He now needs you to do damage control and give him a dignified exit or worse… a face saving return.
Despite his veneer of sophistication, Scroo lacks subtlety. Or like JW5 puts it so well, he “overcompensates”.
Some people grow old but never grow up.
