Indeed, a very noble cause by a very "noble" party.....

But why is WP not supporting other noble causes like ISIS victims, Syrian/Iraqi/Kurdish refugees which is arguably more noble and certainly more urgent. How about Ukraine refugees? How about Ebola victims? Does WP remember or even know about the abducted Nigerian girls, who are now "comforting" the jihadists?

If the 2 WP minority puppets are so desperate to wayang their concern for the Muslim community, why not speaking up on other Muslim being persecuted, like the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. They definitely do not want people to think that their China mentor has a much worse record in mistreating the Muslim minority than Israel. It has come to this pathetic state...... The self-styled 'First World Opposition' believes that making yusheng and playing snookers & ping-pongs are more important than national issues like CPF, political exiles, FT, job security, COE, etc, etc.....

The Hammerrhoid, a so-called mouthpiece of the WP, has now degraded to a lifestyle gossipy tabloid. And the WP MPs are degraded to their touting in hakwer centres to sell newspapers and tissue papers, instead of speaking up in parliament and managing the town council to ensure hawker centres are washed.

Instead of being updated on current political issues and informed on WP

i really do not understand these so called anti pap forumners who claim to be anti pap and yet spend soo much effort condemning WP. Would these forumners prefer WP lose the seats and that life will be much better if its all PAP mps again?

Pretending to be opposition hating opposition supporters was a strategy thought out 10 years even before this forum was born. It is part of the PAP IB programme.

If you are a known PAP voice, it is obvious which side you will stand on. An "opposition hating opposition supporter" is different. The PAP goes for both strategies. The PAP ones go for heavy touch (FATP) to punch the message through and the "opposition hating opposition supporter" is the lighter touch to pretend to be unhappy murmurs.

You can spot them by how the same nicks would never said anything bad about PAP except perhaps passing remarks while firing at WP. You would expect that if they hate WP for not speaking up, they would hate PAP more than the average PAP hater. Yet this is not the case. They try not to do too much damage to PAP or it will be scoring own goal.

Also, you discover their aim is WP ignoring that SPP or DPP or SingFirst are of the same "noise level". Their position is, WP has seats and makes money (from MP allowance) but the rest doesn't.

That is an excuse. It's not because WP has seats and presence in parliament and therefore should speak up. The real reason is that WP has denied PAP the occupancy of these seats.

Bro, you shouldn't be surprised that there are actually oppos out there who would prefer that WP lose ALL their seats than be considered opposition! With the WP offering only a token voice, these ppl believe we are better off without them!

Without pseudo opposition such as WP in parliament, ppl will be begin to look for the real opposition. I must admit that I used to be one of them. But now I think we should let them be in parliament until such time when the SDP, SFP or RP can be more visible, then we do not need this fake WP masquerading as pseudo opposition anymore!

Anyway these fake anti-papzis are not really voicing the ppl's concerns. They rather keep quiet. So why do we need such fake ppl?

Don't be surprise to know that opposition parties are the one who prefers pap to win than WP to make more inroad. In this zero sum game, the rise of WP only spell trouble for the rest. Think about it, why Desmond lim insist on contesting in PEBE? He knew it would be a repeat of his ge11 performance where he lost his deposit and why would anyone be so stupid to contest?

The only logical reason - he was hoping to shave a few percentage points off WP to deny them the victory. Letting WP win PE would only means WP will contest in pasir ris GRC in the coming election squeezing SDA out.

As for some forummers, it very much the same reason. Where do their 'true opposition' stand in a 2 party system? The fear is they will be relegated to become the minority of minority if most opposition voters show preference for WP.

That's right. This is problem with the logic that parliament should return all PAP before a new and better opposition can rise up without disturbance. By then, someone who takes over PM may be worse than the Lees or Goh and he's practically inheriting a Roman empire. The entirety of every single one who opposes the PAP will lose their lives, go as far as be murdered, is a possibility.
