Why the players always touch the side table using their palm and rub rub  What is the purpose ?

1. Wiping sweat off palms. Usually wipe on edge of table nearest the net. Players only allowed to use towel every 6 points.
2. Removing sweat droplets off table to improve ball traction. Usually near the endline.
3. Ritual/habit for some players, much like tennis players having to bounce the ball 3 times with their racket before every serve.
4. Distraction. To buy time, distract opponent and break his rhythm, especially if he's on a points run.

I thought rubba too much sweat onto table will have minimal impact to the game like ball will slow down for them to hit by right should ban.

Look at the racquet and pull the string is to test whether the string tension still ok.

Hitting the back of their heels with their racquets is to knock off any dirt on their shoes, especially when they are playing on clay.
