SINGAPORE - A 39-year-old Bangladeshi national was on Thursday charged with the murder of a fellow construction worker.
Shagar, along with two other workers, had originally been charged earlier this month with voluntarily causing grievous hurt to Chinese national Liu Chunhua, 37, on Aug 7 with a wooden plank.
The charge was amended to murder after Mr Liu, who suffered a head fracture, died in Tan Tock Seng Hospital on Monday, 11 days after the incident.
The other two men who are also from Bangladesh are Shahin Santu Afrad, 40, and Kabir Mohammad Firoj, 22. The charges against them remain that of voluntarily causing grievous hurt but with dangerous means.
