Or is it even possible that instead of spending what Sierra Leone or Liberia, Singapore extract even more money from the people than spending that money

I think the health budget is around $8 billion about $2000 SGD per person...but the welfare expenditure is quite low about 2 billion less than 1% GDP.

What healthcare spending by paps in sinkieland? Paps collect your money and put it in Medisave Account. You fall sick, they deduct medical bills from your medisave account up to certain amount and ask you pay balance in cash.

i believe PAP does subsidise part of ur healthcare costs.....the medisave and cash portion is to help encourage a sense of responsibility towards ur health by having u pay part of ur medical fees.

Who wants to fall sick? To fall sick is an inevitable misfortune. True healthcare means sinkies should be able to use their medisave account to pay the medical bills in full, no need to dip into their own pockets to pay any balance of the bills. Subsidy is just wayang.
