same goes for Singapore,temasek holdings has a portfolio of 240 billion,30% of that comprises of major companies in singapore.......singapore telecoms,singapore airlines,st technologies,singpost,smrt,keppel,mapletree investments,singapore power and so much more!!all these companies comprises of 26% of Singapore's national GDP,1/4th of the country's economy belongs to PAP,all power concentrated in the hands of the state......LKY hated the communists yet we are every bit as communist as communist russia lol....communism with a touch of capitalism.

No he didn't.What he did do was to abandon central planning, the hallmark of the Marxist-Leninist states, in favor of a free market economy adopted by capitalist systems. However, he had to tread carefully so as not to cause a major upheaval so he went to great lengths to package his reforms so that they still appeared to fit into the communist mould.

In theory, communism is fantastic. I too was much enamored towards the system when I was young and ignorant. Imagine everyone happily together all taking care of each other in a classless society where everyone is absolutely equal. No jealousy, no one upmanship, no resentment, no unfairness... sounds like heaven on earth doesn't it.
