Deng Xiaoping put it aptly that as long as the cat catches the mouse, it does not matter whether it is a black cat or a white cat. If the Minister can do a better job for the glory of sinkieland, he is worthy of support and WP will just have to stand aside.

Those countries you cited don't have dynamic leaders ...it is in the system that produces results, not the politicians. Politicians act for their own interests, that's a given. It is the system that rid politicians who go overboard.
The PAP wants you to believe that it is leaders that make the difference. Is it? We have supposed leaders who are paid as the best but only can deliver like other politicians elsewhere. They have no solutions to problems which other countries have a handle off. I nearly fell off my chair when i read kee chiu's talk of a downsized population of 4 million. It's a population ponzi scheme at play here on full throttle. There will be no letting up over this 6.9 or 10million target. A decrease in population is fatally toxic and poisonous to the grand scheme of things. Imagine the falling GDP, corporate profits, tax revenues and ultimately the loss of our triple A ratings of our government bonds with a downsized population.
