Hey, you don't mind the billion spent on this entitled idiots, I do. The $68 million to feed one of this scholars can feed a few thousand sinkees for a long time.

There are 298 SAFOS recipients to date.
There are 388 SAF Merit Scholarship recipients to date.
There are 62 Defence Merit Scholarship recipients to date.
Total past recipients = 744

Cost to taxpayers over their lifetime:
744 X 68 million = $50, 864, 000, 000 ($50.8 billion!)

Add in the SPF, Legal Service Scholars and Admin Service ....we are looking at least 1500 of these jiak lio bee milking us ....

1500 X $68 million - $102, 000, 000, 000!!!! = $102 billion !!!!

Will Opposition MPs ask the PAP government how much does the scholars cost taxpayers over their lifetime. Would like to see the low-ball number given by the PAP, if they dare to answer this question.

It should be noted that many countries do give military-related scholarships albeit not in the PAP style.
