Actually opposition can benefit by playing up this issue. It something close to the heart of muslim community here as with tudung issue. Our close link with Israel seems to go in the opposition direction of what local muslim community demands.

2. Nearly every mother, son and country are against Hamas and support Israel against Hamas. Hamas used its own people as their their defence shield. Truly a terrorist group. The Palestinians fear the Hamas and do not support them.
3. The Isrealis are using the support from the World to abuse their position and commit atrocities and war crimes. This is to please their hard line thugs or ultra Orthodox Jews back home so that the Government can hold on to its seat.
4. The Prime Minister Bejamin Netanyahu is also a US citizen and the general approach of the ruling elite who hold dual citizenships is pretty much fatalism. They are going for broke as they know that their kids and families can reside in US, Europe and Australia if the Middle East cavesin. Their fucking official spokesman regained his Ozzie citizenship.
5. Isreal knows that the world Jewry will protect them from The Hague for war crimes.

We all admire Isreal for its tenacity and exceptional organisational ability yet many are not aware that they took away the land of Palestine from the rightful owners. The Palestinians are not migrants to that land. They are native to the land. Isreal wants to create a buffer from the Arab world as uses Palestine as a buffer but more importantly wants to use the land to its growing population. It's has been caught numerous times building settlements in disputed lands despite signing numerous agreements and protocols.
It's has used the influential and wealthy Jews around the world to hold government at ransom. The use of money, wealth and influence got them in trouble in Europe and they have never learnt their lesson. The younger generation of Jews in Israel are beginning to see the error of their ways and are more accommodating.
