Aiyo... Almost all the SEA countries do not have real war after WW2... Go and see their Generals... They have more rail way tracks...

Even Korea, China and Japan do not have real war for a long time... WW2 ended about 70 years liao lah...

Hello, China has fought many wars with neigbours after WW2. Check your facts lah.
Even the Mudlanders have war experience. They were in Somalia, being part of the UN peacekeeping force there.

Sinkapore? They only sent troops to missions where they don't need to fight - gulf of Aden and some hideout in Afghanistan to fly expensive toy planes.

Don't be so harsh. These people need all the medals, badges and various other uniform decorations to have their sense of self-esteem intact.

After all, that's part and parcel of why they've signed on for the military. It's an affirmed decision for a career choice.

Ya, otherwise, who is going to "respect" them.
Similar to the prison officers' system.
Give them plenty of stripes and stars on their uniform, to impress the prisoners that they are some big time officers.

When they used the term specialists, at least it means that they are specialised in a particular vocation.

Military experts simply sounds obnoxious.

The term specialist was copied from the US armed forces.
Nothing original comes out from vile pappies....
Should have just stuck with NCOs and other ranks.

US army Specialist is a single rank and to indicate that guy is a college-trained NCO. At least US uses Warrant Officer to distinguish specialised people from NCOs and officers. CCS thought of a cocked up rank.
