That is unfortunately, so true. We'll have to wait and see how Joko manages Indonesia. A huge and diverse country with a myriad mix of cultures, ethnic groups, religious factions, and heaps of resource wealth. It's not an easy task.

Thanks for the correction. Heard that he was Chinese from my associate in Jakarta. In any case, it is exceptional for a largely Malay and muslim population to favour someone who is ethnically different to hold such a high post. The electorate has to be pretty open-minded to overlook skin colour and base their selection on other criteria.
