MH17 crash: Passengers onboard flight were already dead, claims rebel leader

PETALING JAYA: A top pro-Russia separatist leader has claimed that the victims of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH17 may have already been dead before the plane took off from Amsterdam on Thursday.

Rebel leader Igor Girkin is reported as having said that he was told by people at the crash site that "a significant number of the bodies weren't fresh".

Girkin, an alleged former Russian military intelligence agent, however, said he could not confirm the information.

Flight MH17 was en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport when it crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border on Thursday.

It was reported to have been shot down by pro-Russian separatists. All 298 people onboard, including 15 crew members, are believed to have been killed.

With the airplane exploded.. bodies burnt and flung down 30000ft...can still see fresh or not....thought he in market buying fish...this guy is more than a idiot ...no way to shift blame if he admit that his gang of terrorist fired the rocket....

Now Russia jialat liao. The next question will be where did Igor get his SAM systems. However old, it is still not something you can just buy off the shelf. You also need training on tracking, and reloading the missiles

Don't be so quick to judge him as stupid. He brought down many planes before and have seen many dead bodies before. Many it is the 180+ aids researchers on the plane who have aids that make their bodies not fresh. Be careful some the bodies may have aids!!
