Luiz Felipe Scolari is convinced Brazil can beat Germany and make it through to a dream FIFA World Cup™ final despite Neymar's absence.

Brazil will take on Germany at the Estadio Mineirao on Tuesday without their best player and leading scorer, who was ruled out of the World Cup after fracturing a verterbra in last week's win over Colombia.

An incredible wave of sadness followed the news that Neymar had been ruled out. The players shed tears and many of the 200 million football-mad Brazilians feared how their team would cope without their talisman.

But Scolari has moved on from the incident and he has challenged the rest of his squad to reach the Maracana final for their injured star.

"He has done his share," the Brazil coach told a press conference on the eve of the match. "Now it's up to us to do our share.

The Germans, being the most gracious people on earth, will give face and will let Brazil win the match.

Four of the pre-eminent global soccer superpowers are set to clash in the semifinals of 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil as the favourites keep marching on after the first four weeks of soccer betting action.

The host Brazilians will field a battered but still dangerous lineup when they take the pitch as slight underdogs against Germany for their semifinal matchup on Tuesday (4:00 p.m. ET) at Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte.

In the absence of their leading scorer Neymar (due to injury) as well as their captain Thiago Silva (suspension due to multiple bookings), Brazil was listed Monday as underdogs at +175 odds at online sportsbooks tracked by OddsShark.com to defeat Germany (+160) and advance to the World Cup final.

Germany was ranked at No. 2 in the FIFA World Ranking entering this quadrennial tournament for global supremacy, behind only the defending World Cup champions from Spain, while Brazil was rated No. 3 by FIFA.
