Sad....Did PAP Bad Policies Cause This?

A jobless man? I thought PAP says foreigners come here to create jobs for us? Which foreigner neglected his duty and failed to create a job for this poor Singaporean man?

Another suicide, sad

[COLOR="#FF0000"]"It is very sad.

The late Mr Stephen Lew Soon Kiang was only 42. The manner in which he committed suicide, i.e. through dousing himself with petrol and then setting himself alight is terribly painful. Even more poignant is the fact that he leaves behind a two year old daughter he dearly loved as he would call frequently from Johor to speak to her. What we can hope and pray for is that Mr Lew’s 71 year old mother will have the good health and longevity to look after the now fatherless girl. Also, some help from the Social Welfare Department will be the right thing to do.

A thought comes to mind. What about the job losses from the mad growth at all cost policy of the government? Does the government NOT know that the livelihoods of Singaporeans are at stake? Is there a real need for such a draconian policy disguised as ‘FTs helping the locals get more jobs’? Wonder how many of those retrenched are now suffering from depression and low self-esteem. As the government is the instigator of this flawed policy have they put in place ways in which these unemployed workers can be helped?

Unemployment is dreadful. Particularly so when one is the sole breadwinner. I know what it is like having been jobless for six months before despite trying all out to get that elusive job. Without getting political it must be understood by the government that this matter of loss of jobs by Singaporeans to foreigners through a deliberate act of liberalizing the labour market has a HUMAN toll. Yes, by all means make the $$$. But no
, the government should be condemned for rewarding themselves with million dollars salaries at the expense of the bread and butter of the citizens. And, who is talking about foreigners coming to take away our lunch??? None other than the installed PM LHL, the leader with the stupid brain! $$$ is all PM LHL cares about for himself and his allies. The result of the failed and thoroughly objectionable policy of Total Control started off by his father and vicious Bully Boy, LKY."
