Police in control of situation in Geylang, says NPC commanding officer

SINGAPORE: Sustained enforcement efforts in Geylang have placed a strain on police resources, but the men in blue say they are in control of the crime situation in the area.

This was reinforced by the Commanding Officer of Geylang Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) on Thursday

Whilst the CP stated before the COI that PO were obstructed from discharging their duties in Geylang and had their police vehicles vandalised, the claim by the CO of the Geylang NPC is clearly quite contradictory to what the CP had said. If the SPF are in control of crime situation in that area, why were criminals there able so daring to hinder police work and vandalise their vehicles? Is the CO trying to tone down the severity of crime situation in Geylang? The CP spoke the truth but was the CO trying to twist it a little to save face?

In the old days, even hardcore gangsters fled at the sight of ang chia mata. Today, ang chia mata means nothing to all these FTs congregating in Geylang. Time for the SPF to start kicking arses of all the FTsh criminals in Geylang.

Gangsters in Geylang are more afraid of Secret Societies Branch detectives. Coz these detectives know what is happening and if they want to put up files, some of these individuals may kena CL. Ang chia officers just for show. Sadly, that was the past. The current lot hardly strikes fear n Geylang.

Current ang chia mata are mostly NS guys marking time to ROD. They become bo charp and idle their time just to get back to base.

Geylang is now another Sungai Road bazaar. You can find ah tiongs and other FTsh selling their sundry goods on side walks openly and behaving as if they are not afraid of getting caught. NEA used to whack locals for hawking their goods but here in Geylang, the FTsh are allowed to do it. Is the SPF really in control?

PAP govt only knows how to tekan and whack Sinkies... balls shrink when it comes to dealing with foreigners. This is a fact, not an exaggeration.

Maybe the SPF was specifically ordered to turn a blind eye towards such activities. If they wanted to get involved, they would have done so long ago.

Ah tiong selling medicine as if they are in mainland.Vietnamnies guys selling contraband cigarette particularly along all side lane.Indonesia parading infront of the mosque n temple.China girl wearing revealing clothes dragging male that walk past them.

All this are done by foreigners.Wat is Police,immigration,NEA,HSA doing?

[GPGT] Cat fight between 2 women at Clarke Quay

Two women were spotted fighting outside a club in Clarke Quay, with one pinning down the other, despite the presence of a police vehicle nearby.

Pictures of the incident had been uploaded onto a blog online by a netizen, who said the two women seemed like Mongolians.

The photos have also been making the rounds on various social media sites such as Facebook, as well as local forums.

According to the blog entry on wzhxn.blogspot.sg, the fight occurred in the wee hours of Feb 7, Saturday, outside Fashion TV Club.

The author also wrote:

"The girl being pinned down was just slapping, kicking and screaming so loudly at the other girl.

"Oh my... girls get really ugly when they are drunk."

It is unclear what the dispute had been about.
