School of Business what they learn and students end up doing what?

Just wondering, School of Business teaches what?

What do they know about business if they are not even in business?

Do they use old business models which had succeeded and talked what made them good business?

Do they know how to spot a good business?

What GEC 'A" level results do they need to get into business school?

Hearsay these days A level students with 65% results can enter university taking business school or journalism school courses? This is a very low score average students and should go Poly to get a trade skill instead of going to unis.?


What students do after finish business school? Become an employee? And do what in company? Teach the boss how to do business?

School of business usually teaches you Accounting, Ecommerce, business law, Economic, Investment Instruments..... etc..... students so called are well verse in all area, so called Tan Wu Jiak when graduate. But... so many FTs imported, you think you can secure a job so easily?

Business school gives you a business degree: BBA or MBA. From there on it's up to you what you want to do. Some become consultants or managers.

Accounting is only done by certified accountants.

Anyway what you study sometimes has no relevance to what you do. Engineering grads become vets, lawyers become teachers or social workers, accountants become physiotherapists etc.

I dunno now in a society which values papers. It is good to have extra one or two.

Then when the time comes, and there is a job just nice for you and what you studied you will be short listed instead of other candidates because you were provided with structured training to work in a business environment.

Even people like Mr. SIM Wong Hoo also hired biz grads because he want his company to continue to grow in a structured way. Otherwise he will be made irrelevant one day.

Like SGP economy usually have structural unemployment you should constantly seek to upgrade yourselves instead of relying on one cert.

everybody should seek to take over the jobs of million dollars men, and not just be contented with their current situation.

Lots of my friends are engineering grads, second upper at least, and many are doing something totally unrelated to engineering. That is a fact.

There is an oversupply of business degree graduates. Almost everybody's children are studying for business degree.

I would say these degrees are better:

Degree in Actuarial Science
Degree in Metallurgy
Degree in Materials Science
Degree in Food Science
Degree in Mining
Degree in Rocket Science
Degree in Fuck Science
Degree in Bullshit Science (pappies full of them)
Degree in Porlumpar (pappies full of them)
Degree in Taichi (pappies, stat boards, civil service ..... full of them)

From my 30 yrs observation, I noticed that the more successful bizmen arent grads. Arent biz grads. It is these chaps who hire biz degree holders to work for them. Armed with a degree one is less likely to take risks. Think Ng Teng Fong, Khoo Teck Puat, Kuek Hong Png etc.

go study engineering - you can get a MBA after no problem. but you cannot get engineering degree after studying business..get it?

if cannot get in local U, go study foreign U.

Whatever shit, no fret, start a biz....and if you r successful, you can hire whatever fuck grads u want to work for u.

Like Bill Gates -dropout but see how many grads dying to work for him?

Do a technical degree, business degree any Tom can do it, not much value nowaday when compete with FT.

Another big secret, all biz school using same text book, study same theory, not much differentiation whether u graduated from Wharton or local U.
