Should it be mandatory to install internet on all planes?

Planes goes missing is going to be a fashion thing from today, even if it is found wrecked, intact or not found at all.

With internet on the plane, at least some clown nicks here on the plane can kpkb at PAP in Sam Forum we know when he lasted logged into Sam Forum before he went missing with the plane.

Better still, these cocky nicks here are smart arse and may escaped the crash and logged into Sam Forum and announced he is still alive?

only if you are in business class. But business men have not time for Leongsam's forum. They go straight for porn sites.

wi-fi is already available on planes in several airlines. the access point connects via satellite to ground stations which connect to the internet. for most of the wi-fi services on board, you have to pay for it, and to add insult to injury, the throughput, jitter and delay performance metrics suck like shit. they suck so bad that they may inadvertently contribute to frustration which in turn may contribute to violence in the cabin, especially if the flight is full of tiongs or neh's. :p

The internet on the plane is only good for simple browsing and Whatsapp. Don't expect to stream Youtube.

They should have a smoking room in planes..

I mean for passengers... not just the pilots.

Smoking was once allowed in planes, restricted to the end three or four rows. However the air is recirculated in the plane and the smoke soon fills the entire vessel. I remember on a flight once across the Pacific (long flight) and the air inside the plane got so bad and choking that the non-smokers started making noise and even some of the smokers couldn't handle the thick smoke that had build up. People were so glad when the plane finally landed and they could leave the plane. Smokers can choose to be on a "smoking" flight.

Thats correct, some planes are already wifi enabled, its just whether the airline operators choose to install or not. Coverage is not world wide however as some governments block access when you overfly their airspace.

Some trial runs have been conducted and the FRs have been positive although some have reported intermittent service performance.
