Two arrested for suspected trespassing into female toilet
SINGAPORE: Two teenagers have been arrested for suspected trespassing into a female toilet in Commonwealth Avenue.
At about 8.25pm on Wednesday, police were alerted to a group of youths peeping in a female toilet.
After reviewing CCTV footage and extensive ground enquiries, police officers managed to trace the two suspect, aged 11 and 14 years, to Stirling Road on Friday. They were placed under arrest.
Police are now trying to trace a third suspect, while they investigate the two teenagers.
The offence of criminal trespass carries a jail term of up to three months, and a fine of up $1,500.
For insulting the modesty of a woman, the suspects could be jailed up to one year and fined. - CNA/de
