Man jailed for having paid sex with underage prostitute

SINGAPORE - A contractor has been sentenced to 12 weeks' jail for having commercial sex with an underage prostitute.
Aw Tian Hock, 44, had obtained sexual services from the Vietnamese prostitute in July 2011. The prostitute was then 16 years old.
Under the law, it is an offence to have paid sex with an individual under 18 years.
Aw could have been jailed up to seven years and fined.
