Dear Patriotic Singaporean,
Singaporean PMETs are being displaced easily because of lax and liberal
manpower and immigration policy.
Please allow me elaborate as follow.
Today, E-Pass can be given to foreigner at salary above $3,000 a month and
E-Pass doesn’t require any worker dependency ratio at all.
Therefore, MNCs, banks, foreign companies, and etc can hire their own kinds –
friends, colleagues from Europe, North America, etc because the economies there
are not good, so transfer the headcounts from there to Asia Pacific to claim the
headcounts under the guise of revenue of Asia Pacific.
Because many foreign companies have to justify their revenue based on number
of employees. If revenue goes down, then they need to cut headcounts to justify
net income growth.
Many origin countries like North America, ANZ and Europe have strict labor
right in terms of compensation in paying retrenchment, medical insurance,
pension fund, and etc, then foreign companies rather move the foreigner
headcounts to Asia Pacific so they can avoid pay out their operating cash for
European, ANZ or North America retrenchment benefits.
Then, add these foreign talents in Singapore office and cut the Singaporean
headcounts to make up the reduced number of employees for the net income
growth.
That is why these days, many Singaporean PMETs are retrenched so easily
because of lax and liberal manpower policy and then immigration policy.
This is how these foreign companies game the Singapore systems that are so
pro-companies, pro-foreigners at the expense of Singaporean.
MOM still refuse to enact these legislation, which would stop these kinds of
games:
1. Hire and Train Singaporean First legislation
2. Min wages legislation
3. Retrenchment term for Singaporean employee
Our PAP ministers are parachuted via GRC walkover from cushy positions –
civil, law practice, private hospital, military to higher paid positions without
ever to fight in competitive election, streetwise commercially, socially,
politically, so they end up making lots of failed policies.
They are just “Doers” that hardly justify for such high paid since they could
not come out out-of-box solutions and policies like a real world CEOs. If CEOs
not deliver, they are kicked out.
And if PAP continues to be a single dominant party, then these politicians
can walk over in GRC and continue auto-cruising with same old things. More of
the same policies.
So, here it goes … tunnel vision and no 20/20 hindsight. Singaporean continue
to suffer and next generation will be demised too.
IT IS IMPORTANT NOW FOR GOOD SINGAPOREAN TO KICK PAP OUT OF POWER IN GE 2016,
so it can reform, re-inject with newer, better politicians from the ground up,
streetwise, high EQ in relating to citizens needs and sufferings, common sense,
fair, compassion, considerate.
Need common citizen politician is even better than elite because elite comes
from cushy and comfortable position can’t relate to suffering of citizens.
