SINGAPORE - A first-year student at the National University of Singapore (NUS) was found dead in his room at the university's UTown campus yesterday afternoon, reported the Shin Min Daily News.
The 21-year-old male undergraduate was found hanging in his room at the Cinnamon College.
He was reportedly an active member in the NUS' University Scholars Programme (USP), and a member of the USP's foosball club.
When interviewed by the Chinese daily, a fellow USP scholar said she had met the student last week, but did not notice anything out of the ordinary.
Police said they received a call at 5.06pm, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Investigations are still ongoing.
