How many of you guys here love to eat Tao Kae Noi seaweed?

I've tried it once, it's crispy and tasty but I'm sure they put a lot of MSG inside.
The price of each packet (on average) is almost $3 selling at 7-Eleven Singapore store but the quantity in my opinion is small.

I find it quite expensive to eat this brand of seaweed snack in Singapore.
But in Thailand, this is a very popular snack and that founder (young chap) of Tao Kae Noi is a millionaire just by selling seaweed.

Have you tried any other brands of seaweed that cost lesser and also taste as well?

Tao Kae = Towkay = boss
Noi = Young or Little

Yes the founder is a young Thai and now a multi-millionaire. Sold in many countries, can find it in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia etc

Never tried the seaweed products but it reminded me of two chinese products that have been around for ages: peanuts & plums. Have seen these products sold since the 60's
The peanut brand has a picture of a chinese farmer wearing an old fashion ratan hat carrying a changkul. The black plums are still sold in the same yellow & black box the only change is that the boxes are smaller

The owners of these businesses must be quite wealthy.
