During my last trip to China, knn they tend to eat the dishes 1st, if not full then eat the rice, they find it weird when we eat vege/meat with rice...

sadly sinkies are descendants of the China export stock who came here as coolies,.....thats why there are no dishes but more rice to eat,....thats why its a cultural gulf. a PRC client said once that it insults him to eat inner and we wanna order rice....nbcb...sinkie never eat rice one day feeels damm funny

can't compare to aborigines as aborigines are considered "huan na". :p

This "huan na" not only refers to malays.. "huan na" or "huan kei (客) is also a term use in fujian and it refers to those outsiders including us

The Chinese word for Huan is "番" (fan).

In ancient China, "番" is a derogatory term for anything foreign, uncivilized and barbaric. In fact, in ancient China, anything foreign was considered barbaric, because 2000 years ago, there weren't many advanced civilizations in the world, and China was the most advanced in this part of the world; the other advanced civilizations at that time being India and Rome in the Mediterranean.

Sweet Potato is 番薯 fan xu - can also mean Wild Potato. Sweet potato was considered poor man's food in ancient China.

Huan Na is the Hokkien word for 番儿. Maybe 儿 is not the word for Na but the meaning is the same. Na in Hokkien means "children". The full Hokkien word for children is "Gin Na".

In Teochew, it is Huan Kia, also 番儿. Teochew word for children is "Noon Kia".

The Cantonese call White man Low Fun - 老番.

In southern China today, some people still call foreigners 番客.

Older Chinese use the term Shua Huan - 山番 - meaning wild people of the hills.
When they saw the American Cowboys and Red Indians on TV, they called the Red Indians Shua Huan - 山番.

So Huan Na and Huan Kia actually mean barbaric children. Not very nice words.

How can you compare urines to humans?

Isnt it like comparing oranges to apples or in this case, urines from the main-urinal-land with jepun sushi. no logic la

Urines will find anything outside their main-urinal-land as surprising as they are only used to their own smelly, disgusting, sick and dirty yellow urine.

So dont insult humans in general and sushis specifically by comparing filth to urines. thank you bro

A Chinese perspective: Some surprising cultural differences upon coming to Japan

TOKYO —
On Feb 1, a Chinese newspaper writing primarily for Chinese nationals residing in Japan published an article titled “Some of the Things that Surprised Me when Coming to Japan.” Written by Chinese men and women who have experienced the Japanese lifestyle, the publication gives accounts of some quite startling differences between Chinese and Japanese customs and what is taken for granted as common sense.

This article is clearly a racist one sided article filled with bigotry singing praises of the Japanese culture and society while silently condemning the Chinese and its culture wholesale. The agenda is so clear.

However, luckily no such culture differences article between Japan and India
