Is PAPig raising the bar too high and become an elite Party?

Do you need an over qualified and over acheiver to be your MP?

Are these over qualified and over achievers be where they are to serve the poor by providing free services like Tan Cheng Bok?

This doctor is not saying he will drop everything in his private services and prepared to open free arse checking clinic for the poor and chap gor cheng ($15,000/ month) is more than enough money for him to live on.

Serve 2 terms can get life long pension and that is already 满.

A number of MPs have quit their jobs so that they can focus on their MP duties. Is Dr Koh going to quit his job as a colorectal surgeon if he wins? I feel he will be able to contribute more to society as a colorectal specialist than as an MP.

If he holds on to both jobs, then he'll be juggling two jobs and both will suffer in terms of his commitment levels.

Doctor is a tradesman and their professional indemity insurance is more than $80,000 a year. He will not quit his trade business and settle for chap gor cheng only. He is going to up his consultant fees after this BE, win or lose.

Besides his dispense medication tablets and etc to his patients is his extra money maybe more than chap gor cheng a month. Nah, he will not let go of his trade. Anyway over the next 3 years into 2016 (if he win this BE) he will not quit his profession to settle at chap gor cheng per month only. He has his huge mortgae housing and investment loan to pay off and need his trade business to finance his loans.

Voters are helping him pay off his loans early only if they from him and he is likely to 办小事 only, like water pipe leak things, relearning another trade which is renovation contractor job.

In GE2011, Tin Pei Ling was only 28.

Dr Koh Poh Koon was ten years older at 38.

Perhaps the PAP didn't search hard enough so that they failed to spot Dr Koh for GE2011? Or did they judge Dr Koh to be less suitable than Tin Pei Ling then?
